Ivy Schneider is the President of Helix Strategies, LLC. She works with nonprofits, community based organizations, and social enterprises to raise funds and develop their leaders and programs. Helix services focus on fundraising/development strategies, board development/engagement strategies, strategic visioning/planning, and program evaluation/outcome measurement. Ivy empowers volunteers and staff to lead their organizations to sustainable success in order to have deeper impact in the community.

For over the last 16 years, Ivy led campaigns, board development, donor and volunteer stewardship, and evaluation efforts for several community based organizations in Central Pennsylvania. Her grant writing and fundraising labors alone secured millions of dollars for these organizations.

Community Involvement

Ivy co-founded the West Shore Young Professionals in 2014 and currently sits on their Advisory Board. She also serves on the York College Alumni Board, United Way Bridges Society Steering Committee, and the Mid Penn Bank Young Professional Advisory Board.


Ivy is currently an ABD and in the final stages of her Ph.D. program from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Administration and Leadership Studies in the Nonprofit and Public Sectors. Her dissertation research focus is on law enforcement engagement in multidisciplinary teams. Ivy earned her Master’s Degree from Shippensburg University and a Bachelor’s Degree from York College of Pennsylvania. Ivy has also edited three nonprofit textbooks.


Ivy is the 2018 winner of the Central Penn Business Journal’s (CPBJ) Women of Influence Community Achievement Award, 2018 winner of Leadership Harrisburg Area’s The Extra Mile Award, 2017 winner of the CPBJ’s Forty Under 40, 2017 winner of City State PA’s 40 Under 40 Rising Stars, and a graduate of the Leadership Harrisburg Area Class of 2018.
